Silly Sock Day & Nostalgia Day

On Friday the 24th of July, us Initiative Captains brought a new event: Silly Sock Day!!! On this day, students and teachers were able to wear whatever fun socks they wanted to, from stripy and colourful, to bright and wacky, along with a gold coin donation to the Royal Children’s Hospital. Through this event, we were able to bring back lots of fun memories of wearing funky socks from when we were younger (and hey, maybe even now!) and show off our beloved socks!

Alongside the Year 10 SRC, us Initiative Captains held Nostalgia Day on Friday the 7th of August. This event was able to bring back the youthful and carefree joy of being silly and hanging with friends for our fellow peers, and even teachers! 

We ran kids show screenings featuring Bluey and Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, shows we all grew up with, alongside teddy bear picnics! We loved to see so many people carrying their precious furry friends with them throughout the day. There was also a colouring competition and musical chairs where yummy and memorable prizes were up for grabs!!

Congrats to everyone who won Musical Chairs and the Colouring Competition! We had an awesome turn out, with over 50 people across all events!! Thank you to everyone who showed up to participate and watch and we hope you guys had as much fun as we did!!

And a special thanks to all the teachers and students that helped set up and sort out the tech issues :)
