HEY HEY HEY APOLLO!
On behalf of the entire leadership team, we hope your Term 3 has been going well, especially because we’re already halfway through it! The term, and with it the rest of the year, is already flying by so fast, so make sure to make the most of every single second of it. This is especially true for our fellow Year 12’s as this is our last full term! To put our time into perspective, by this time next term, we’ll already be well into exams. Don’t be disheartened however, use this as a chance to really give it your all knowing how much time we have left. Do as much as you can, study hard and as much as you can, but don’t forget to hang out with your friends and really enjoy every moment you get!
Ever-looming deadlines aside, let’s get on to some House updates. A big thank you to everyone who participated and gave their all in the House Chess Competition, it was a great effort by all those involved.
Even though our term’s halfway through, the events certainly aren’t wrapping up! To name a few, we’ve got Senior Debating, a newly announced song-writing competition, Clean-Up Cory and House Drama, all on the horizon, so get excited for what’s to come this term Apollo!
As always, make sure you take care of yourself, give yourself plenty of breaks and study hard, make the most of this term Apollo. Until next time!

HEY BLACKWOOD!!!
We hope everyone is having a great Term 3! We are already halfway through the term, and while things are heating up to one of the biggest events of the year, House Drama…. it is also bittersweet for our Year 12s. For the Year 12s, we are on the FINAL STRETCH! This is our last term of high school, so take some time to enjoy and make the most of your time with friends, the events, the random moments and everything in between because we definitely won’t get these days back!
Earlier this term, Blackwood Year 12s once more embarked on their annual tradition, the CHUBBY BUNNY CHALLENGE🐰! The competition consisted of 8 BRAVE seniors: Dhanvith C, Reuben S, Jasleen G, Meagan L & Michelangelo P (your captains😉), Srimijun M, Hansika R, and Jamie W. The Champion of 2026’s CHUBBY BUNNY challenge goes to Srimijun Mutharasu, who fit nearly 25 marshmallows in his mouth!
A HUGE win🥇🥇 for Blackwood this term was taking home the SECUNDUS CUP! 🏆💙 A massive congratulations to our champion, Neil Sonu from B1, who was mentored by Srimijun Mutharasu and absolutely smashed it to claim the win! 🎉Neil brought home 20 house points and plenty of Blackwood pride with his incredible artefact, which was a full Iron Man suit made entirely out of cardboard!🔥What a way to represent Blackwood!
Another BIG WIN🏆 for Blackwood was our House Chess competition!♟️ A huge shoutout to everyone who stepped up and represented our house, putting their strategy, focus and chess skills to the test! A massive congratulations to Thomas Nguyen, Giancarlo Nmachi Matthew, Zhi Xuan Choo, Shaeshan Senthilnath, Arjun Garg, Fetayel Molla, Denys Duk, Gian Abriam, Kartikeya Chaudhary and Rahil Sarbi Khan for getting involved and helping bring home another win for Blackwood! 🎉Also a massive Shout-out to everyone who participated in Alumni Week! We hope everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves while also interacting with Suzanne Cory’s Alumni! Thank you all for bringing home 2nd place!!🥈
Coming up, we have Senior Debating on the 18th and 25th of August! Make sure you get involved, show your support, and back your fellow Blackwoodians! 💙If you have any questions, reach out to our Initiatives Captain, Justine Phan, B4! And now for one of THE BIGGEST events of the year… HOUSE DRAMA!!! 🎭Last year, we had an amazing turnout, and even though we didn’t take out the competition, we came away with the MOST HOUSE POINTS! So, if you’re participating this year, give it everything you’ve got, have fun, and most importantly, remember that every single point counts! And if you’re not performing, make sure you still come along, support your fellow Blackwoodians, and enjoy the performances at lunchtime in the Auditorium on September 7th and 10th! Now, as we finish up, we just want to say a big thank you to the whole Blackwood house for an amazing start to Term 3! We need to keep this momentum going, and WE WILL WIN the HOUSE CUP! Make sure to have fun, enjoy the moments with your friends, and make the most of this term, but also study hard for upcoming SACs and Exams!!!

HEY KORORORORIT!!
It’s crazy that we’re already halfway through term three! We hope everyone’s been doing well, especially because we’re almost at the end. For our year 12s, we’re almost there!! Take the time to really soak in these remaining days of school and make the most of the time we have here. Now that we’re getting to the pointy end of things, it’s super important that we all continue to work hard. Whether it’s for exams or house events (especially house events), let’s put in all our effort for this final stretch!!
Kororoit has kept it consistent, with third place podium finishes in all the house events this term. A big thank you to everyone who participated in house chess and helped us bring home third place. Great job to everyone who participated in the Alumni week events, scoring a third place win. Shoutout to Joelynn Citro for her amazing secundus project, securing another third place for Kororoit!!
The other houses are gaining a little too close for comfort in terms of points, but looking ahead, we still have events left for us to get further ahead. Make sure to participate in everything you can, remember, every point counts!! We can all earn some values cards, so make sure to be on your best behaviour.

HEYY YOOUUU ROTHWELL!!!
Can you believe that we’re already half way through Term 3? It’s been quite an eventful and successful term for us already! For our Year 12s, it’s our last full term left of school 🥹🥹 Although often it can seem quite busy and stressful studying, it’s important to sometimes take a step back and see how far we’ve come and to just enjoy every moment we have left at school! That said, make sure to study hard and put in your best effort!! On behalf of your Rothwell Leadership team, we wish you all the best!!
Let’s move onto some HOUSE UPDATES!! We started off Term 3 with House Chess, where we got SECOND PLACE 🥈🥈Massive shoutout to all of the students who participated in the House Chess Competition!! That’s not all though, as we also came FIRST IN ALUMNI WEEK 🥇🥇 Thank you to both past and present students who participated in all of the activities across Alumni Week!! Finally, we had the announcement of the Secundus Project Winners with Rothwell coming SECOND!! Our representative for Rothwell was Annie Zhang, mentored by Aaron Bhimta in R6! Thank you both for your hard work and dedication towards your project - it was an amazing idea and it really paid off!!
The House Cup race could not be closer: right now we’re sitting in 3rd place at 347 points, 10 points behind 2nd place Blackwood who are on 357 points and only 13 points behind 1st place Kororoit who are on 360 points!! We’ve still got Senior Debating and Clean Up Cory in Week 6 along with House Drama in Week 7, along with a newly introduced song-writing competition all coming up soon!! We’re at the final stretch Rothwell, let’s give it our best effort and BRING HOME THAT HOUSE CUP!!
As we wrap up, make sure that you’re taking care of yourself and occasionally pop in to check in with your mates on how they’re doing. Make the most of this term and keep up the amazing work Rothwell!!
