Careers Corner

There continues to be many opportunities for our students to attend off-campus careers events to engage with representatives from a vast array of post-secondary school educators and employers. Students who attend these events can make inquiries about careers that they are considering and get the most relevant and up-to-date information. They may even be exposed to opportunities that they were not aware of and find a new interest to explore and consider for a career pathway.

Our most recent careers event was the VCE and Careers Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 1 May.

It is good to hear the feedback from students who attend these events. The feedback is generally positive and confirms that these events can be a valuable experience for students who are keen to explore all their possibilities ………

The VCE and Careers Expo provided me very valuable insights into potential study options and courses aligned with my own interests. It also allowed me to connect with others about my future aspirations (Julia Pougioukas, Year 12)

Something I found helpful from the VCE Careers Expo in the city was the level of detailed discussion I was able to have with the universities there; to help better my understanding of any courses I would like to take there in the future (Akshita Kochar, Year 11)
