Acting Principal's Message

Welcome to the final weeks of Term Three.

We have noticed quite a few students who are needing some time at home due to being unwell, please look after yourselves and the community by resting at home if needed. Remember our mornings are quite cold, rug up with jumpers, coats and pants if possible. If you require any additional uniform items, please come and see our office team. We also have second hand uniform and quite a lot of unnamed and unclaimed jumpers in the lost property.

A reminder for all medications. The department of education requires all medications to have the original packaging, clearly labelled with student name, dosage and medication. This is department policy to keep all students and staff safe. If your child has medications at school, we will follow up with you if labelling isn't correct. If labels are not correct, the school will not be able to administer the medications. Inform your pharmacist upon collection that you need a label for school. The pharmacy is well practiced at doing this for schools and kindergartens. Thank you for your support in this as we are following the regulations set out by DET. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact me.

We have crazy hair day Friday 27th. A fantastic opportunity to be a little bit crazy and have some fun. I ran some art lessons last Friday, where students drew some amazing designs through 2-Dimensional art. All designs were unique and can be seen displayed in the front office.

Teachers have been working extra hard at completing student reports. This is a very busy time for teachers and I know they will appreciate some time to rest in the school holidays. These will be published to families on the final Wednesday of school term. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to the school office.

Also be aware that Tuesday 22nd July will be a student free day. Staff will be participating in Protective Intervention Training. This will develop staff safety skills in order to keep our community, students and other staff members safe.
