Can Assist/Poss Family Fun Day

Uralla local and Uralla Central School staff member Allie Broadbent is running 33km for Poss Family Fun Day in Support of Can Assist Uralla Families.

Demonstrating dedication and community spirit, Uralla Central School staff member and local community member Allie Broadbent is taking on a unique challenge during this year’s Poss Family Fun Day. Allie will run 17 laps around the block surrounding Woodville Oval in Uralla, with each lap spanning approximately 1.96km—making her total distance aprox 33km.

The first 16 laps symbolises each family currently being supported by Can Assist’s Uralla Branch, a local organisation providing practical and emotional assistance to people affected by cancer. Allie will add an additional lap for a friend very close to her heart, that is currently going through her own cancer journey, adding a heartfelt and personal touch to the run.

The Poss Family Fun Day, a cherished Uralla tradition, aims to bring families together for fun, connection, and to raise vital funds for Can Assist Uralla. Allie’s run will not only help raise money for Can Assist but also to inspire others to engage with the cause, shining a light on the ongoing needs of local families affected by cancer.
