Dear Parents

Happy feast day of St Augustine, who after many years of wandering from the faith finally found his peace, noting “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You”. 

Many thanks to all the dads and father figures ( and the mums who were active behind the scenes I’m sure) who joined us for our Winter sleepout on Tuesday. It was a memorable evening to pause and reflect on those less fortunate than ourselves, and hopefully to inspire us to work towards a world where everyone has a place to belong.

St Vinnies Outreach

We were blessed on Tuesday night to be visited by Mark Purchase from St Vincent de Paul, who shared some insights on his work at Matthew Talbot Hostel. Our next Vinnies outreach day will be Friday September 19th. The day involves food preparation, making of snack and toiletry packs, and other general duties as needed. We will be visiting the Lewisham branch from 10-1. Please email ana.seric@syd.catholic.edu.au if you would like to join us on this day.

Playgroup

Our Playgroup continues  on Thursday mornings, from 9-10:30 in the school hall. I look forward to welcoming all  preschool aged children, together with their parents, grandparents and carers for a morning of play, craft and storytime. Next week we will focus on Father’s day.

Friday Rosary 

Thank you to those students and parents who have joined us in praying a  decade of  the Rosary each Friday morning at 8:30 inside the church.  Please come and join us even if you have never prayed the Rosary before. Rosary beads will be provided for everyone.

 Camino of Joseph

In the lead up to Father’s day, the Maximus mens ministry of the Sydney Archdiocese is again holding its annual overnight pilgrimage in honour of our spiritual father, St Joseph. It will be held on September 5-6, more details available  here.
