Book Week Parade

What a wonderful book week we have had.  We were blessed with amazing weather today for our Book Week Parade.  We had a panel of judges who picked a best dressed from each year level, our winners won a book and a wee sweet treat. Congratulations to our students who won for best costumes; Shaina, Nasereen, Jayden, Lania and Devika. 

A big thank you to all of our families for the effort that was put into the amazing costumes. It certainly made it hard for our judging panel to decide on the winners!

Spelling Bee

We hosted our annual Book Week event - the Students vs Teachers spelling bee, on Monday afternoon. This year the students took out the title, making them the better spellers, two years in a row. 

Well done to Hanish, Madhuja and Falito who brought home the coveted trophy for the students!!!

Book Week Activities

The students participated in some book week rotations, getting an opportunity to read some of the picture story books that had been short listed for the Children's Book of the Year Awards. 

Students worked in family groups to listen to the stories and then complete activities related to each book;

• The Garden of Broken Things
