Have you met our Care & Support Team?

It's time to meet more of our wonderful FOD volunteers; allow me to introduce you to Lisa Osborne, who heads up our Care & Support Team! Lisa has a beautifully compassionate heart, and is simply perfect for this role in offering appropriate support and showering of love for those in need. Our community is blessed through the work of Lisa and her team.

How would you describe the role of the Care & Support Team?

The FOD Care and Support portfolio endeavours to provide emotional and practical support for all members of the DCC community, including DCC students, families and staff. We respond to each situation that we are made aware of in unique ways depending on the situation. This can include pastoral care, practical gifts such as meal vouchers or assistance with class reps to organise a meal train. We also provide gifts for families having a new baby.  

What does the day-to-day involvement for the team include? Our involvement is really dependent on the need at the time. I rely on people within the school community informing me about situations when they arise. 

What does the team love most about this role?  Providing pastoral care to individuals and families who are struggling and possibly feeling isolated or overwhelmed.

Share team goals for the remainder of 2025:  To build awareness of the Care and Support arm of FOD so that those who need support don’t fall through the cracks. 

Friends of Donvale 2025 AGM

The Annual General Meeting for our Friends of Donvale committee will be held on

Monday 24th November

7pm for a 7.30pm start

in the FOD Lounge - C Building

This meeting is open to all DCC parents, and we warmly welcome anyone who'd like to join us to celebrate another year of faithful volunteering, as well as electing FOD members to roles and portfolios for the coming college year.

Supper will be served as we celebrate together.
