Principals Report
Sue Carr
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s,
Welcome to our latest newsletter update as we reach the midpoint of our final term for 2025. It is a busy and productive time for our students and staff.
Final assessments are currently in full swing, and we are incredibly proud of the students' dedication and effort. Outside of the classrooms, the school is bustling with activities. Students are actively participating in various sporting events and the Year 3-6 swimming program commenced this week. The Christmas discos were a huge success and absolute highlight of the term. Our recently held Student Wellbeing Day was also a great success. Thank you to Camille Roussow and our S.R.C members for organising and running such a brilliant day. Amidst all of these events, quality learning and teaching remains our central focus.

Effective communication between the school and our community is key. As you may be aware, we have recently transitioned our communication platform from Audiri to Nforma. To ensure you receive all essential information and can easily respond to excursion permission requests, please make sure you download the Nforma for Parents app to your phone at your earliest convenience.
We look forward to the following:
Foundation 2026 Orientation Session Number 1 - Thursday 13th November 9.00am -10.00 am. All parents are warmly invited to stay for a cup of tea or coffee and to take the opportunity to meet other parents
Year 5 Leadership Speeches - Monday 17th November from 9.00am in the Multi Purpose Room (TBC location)
Foundation - Year Two Swimming Program next week
Mini Vinnies Christmas Hamper Appeal
As the festive season approaches, we at St Brendan’s are filled with gratitude for the overwhelming support you have already shown for our St Vincent de Paul/Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal. The generosity within our community is truly heart warming.
Thank you for the thoughtful Christmas goods you have so kindly donated so far. Each item brings a little more festive cheer to those in our community who need it most, helping to ensure that everyone can experience the warmth and joy of the holiday season.
The spirit of Christmas is about giving, and together, we are making a real, tangible difference in the lives of many families. Your kindness embodies the true meaning of community.
We are collecting donations until 20th November and we encourage everyone to see just how much more we can gather to brighten someone's Christmas.
Thank you once again for your incredible support, both now and in advance for any further contributions.
On a personal note, following a minor surgical procedure last week, I am currently away on leave. I anticipate returning to school on Monday, 17th November. In my absence, should you require any advice or support, please do not hesitate to contact Bernie Turner, who will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Warm regards,
Sue Carr
