Celebrating Wellbeing: A Day Led By the SRC!

Last Friday, our school celebrated our first SRC Children’s Wellbeing Day, a hugely successful event focused entirely on promoting mental health and personal growth across all grades.

The day was special because the activities were chosen directly by the students! Prior to the event, the Student Representative Council (SRC) surveyed their classmates to gather feedback and ensure the day truly supported their needs.

Students enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout the day, including:

  • Physical Fun: Basketball, football, and lively dance sessions.

  • Creative & Reflective: Painting, writing affirmations for the class prayer table, and composing gratitude letters for others.

  • Teamwork & Laughter: Engaging team building games and a fun "Guess the Teacher's Pet" challenge!

The day successfully provided students with a voice in deciding how to support their own wellbeing. The positive feedback from both staff and students was overwhelming, with one child even asking if we could hold the event again next year!

Thank you to the SRC for their leadership and to all staff for supporting this important initiative.
