Principal's Report

Rotary Art Show

A huge congratulations to the large number of students from Uralla Central School who have achieved outstanding results at the Uralla Rotary Art Show.  The show is still running at the Memorial Hall, so please try and call in and have a look if you can. I also commend Mrs Taylor and her hospitality students for preparing meals and serving people at the opening night.  It is great for our school to work so closely with local organisations such a Rotary!

Mobile Phones at School

Just a reminder that mobile phones must not be used by students at school.  This is a NSW Government policy for all schools to adhere to. Students are welcome to leave their phones at the office when they arrive at school and collect them at home time if there is a need for them to have phones before and after school. We have also had a number of instances where students are using their phones to call/text parents during the day, (sometimes to ask them to come and collect them from school as they are unwell) even though phone use is banned. If students need to contact home, we can always help with this to ensure students do not use their phone during the school day. We would appreciate if everyone could help us to comply with the government policy. Thanks for your understanding. Great Aussie Bush Camp (Primary Classes) - Payment is Due

Just a reminder that final payments for the Great Aussie Bush Camp are due by the end of next week (Friday 11 April). Payments must be made in full to ensure your child is able to attend the excursion.

National Trust Car Rally

At the end of the first week back to school next term, our school will host a number of visitors and vintage cars as part of a local National Trust Autumn Tour.  There will be over 200 visitors to the school on Saturday 3 May 2025.  Our hospitality students will be catering and serving lunch to our visitors as part of a fundraiser for our school.

Piano Donation

I would like to thank Steven Goode and his family for their kind donation of a piano for our school hall. This piano has been in the Goode family for a number of years and it is now located in our school hall for students to use, particularly for school performances. Thank you to Steven and his family for his kind donation.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Thank you to the many parents and carers who came along to our Parent/Teacher afternoon on Monday.  It was great to celebrate the wonderful achievements of students and to develop plans for future learning. If you were unable to join us on the day, please contact us if you would like to meet with your child's teacher(s).  Thank you also to the P&C for their BBQ sausage sizzle!

Easter Hat Parade

Students from the Uralla Pre School and TG's Child Care will join us for our annual Easter Hat Parade next Thursday 10 April at 10am. Our K-6 students will be invited to display their Easter hat that they have created in class, along with our pre-school visitors. Parents are most welcome to join us on the day!

ANZAC Day Parade

I would like to welcome all students and staff to march with the school at the ANZAC Day parade on Friday 25 April. Students need to be in full school uniform (school leaders are to wear formal uniforms). Although ANZAC Day falls in the school holidays, I would encourage as many students as possible to join us in the march.  Students should gather outside the Uralla Shire Council Chambers in Salisbury Street from 9.30am for a 9.45am start.  Parents will need to collect their children from Alma Park.  Thanks for your help.

Happy Holidays

As we move towards the end of Term 1, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for a great term at Uralla Central School.  Our staff have worked hard to provide such a wide variety of opportunities for our students such as sporting, arts, community service and of course, outstanding learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

Thank you to everyone for making our school such a great place to work and learn.  I trust you will all have a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to another action packed term at Uralla Central School!
