District Soccer
Monash Heights District Girls Soccer Day
On the 17 of June, 12 girls formed a girls soccer team.
We all drove down in the morning as our school was hosting it at Brentwood Reserve. It was a special day where girls played soccer against other girls from other schools in our District.
At the start we were a little nervous, but after playing our first match we were completely confident.
The girls did very well in all of their matches but unfortunately they lost to 2 schools (Mount Scopus and Burwood East A team) out of 7 matches.
We all had so much fun taking part in this activity, we even made a delicious candy salad. At the end of the day, when the winning teams were announced, it was Mount Scopus and Burwood East A, Mount Scopus won all their games, and Burwood East A lost 1 game and tied 1 game.
We were all great sports and cheered for the winning teams, and we were still happy that we came 3rd.

Senior Hoop Time
On the 22nd of June, Years 5 and 6 participated in Hooptime at Waverley Basketball Stadium.
There was a Rookie category (which was for the people who don’t play and were there for fun), a Future stars category (which was for the people who played basketball for a club) and an All Star category (which was for the people who play representative).
Each team had 3-4 games in the day plus a final for the future star and All star categories. The All Star boys, future star boys and future star girls all won their Grand Finals.
All the students had a great day whether it was sitting down talking or on the court playing with their friends.
