RUOK? Day at Pakenham Secondary College
Pakenham Secondary College marked R U OK? Day with activities designed to encourage conversation and support across our school community.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) and Wellbeing team joined forces to host an RUOK? Day pop-up outside B5, giving students and staff an opportunity to stop by, connect and access helpful resources. SRC students also visited classes throughout the day to share information about RUOK? Day and remind students of the importance of checking in with those around them.
RUOK? Day encourages us to remember that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference. By asking “Are you okay?”, listening without judgement, encouraging action and checking in again, we can help those around us feel supported and cared for.
Thank you to our fellow SRC students, our SRC Coordinator, Ms Erjavec, and the
Wellbeing team for helping to promote such an important message.
RUOK? Day may be one day on the calendar, but looking out for one another is something we can do every day.
