Dads, This One’s for You!

It's time to round up your friends and join us for one of the highlights of the Loreto calendar: the Loreto College Fathers and Friends Dinner.

Whether you’re a long-time Loreto Dad or new to the community, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow Dads and celebrate the wonderful community we have here at Loreto.

Settle in for a delicious two-course dinner and a three-hour drinks package, catch up with old friends, meet some new faces and enjoy an evening of conversation and connection.

We are delighted to welcome Old Scholar Marie Shaw AM KC as our special guest for what promises to be an entertaining and engaging evening.

Tickets are $130 per person (+ booking fee), with the option to book a table of 10 or come along individually. If booking individually, simply nominate a friend or a year level you’d like to sit with, and we will do our best to seat you with your chosen friends or other Dads from the same year level.

We will also be holding a live auction on the night and are currently seeking additional items and experiences to include. If you have a product, service or experience that you would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Please contact us at events@loreto.sa.edu.au -every donation makes a difference. This year, we are excited to be fundraising towards the AV upgrade of the Junior School Hall, helping us create an even more engaging and versatile space for our students.

That’s a Wrap on Contemporary springART 2026

On Friday, 28 August, we opened the doors for our 2026 Contemporary springART, proudly presented by Booth Real Estate. With more than 300 people in attendance, the College was buzzing with energy and excitement. We were incredibly fortunate to have former Adelaide Fringe CEO Heather Croall officially open the evening, with DJ Driller on the decks providing a lively atmosphere. It was so great to see such a fantastic mix of current parents, Old Scholars, past parents and members of the wider Loreto community come together to enjoy this very special event. We feel incredibly privileged to host such a spectacular celebration of art at the College each year. With an incredible collection of artworks from more than 60 South Australian artists, there was something to capture everyone’s attention. From paintings and glass art to sculptures and everything in between, the variety of mediums and styles made for a truly inspiring and vibrant exhibition.

The excitement continued throughout the weekend, with a steady flow of visitors through the exhibition and many more artworks finding new homes. It was fantastic to see the event continue to attract such wonderful support from our community.

Most importantly, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible volunteers who gave so generously of their time, energy and enthusiasm in the lead-up to and throughout the weekend. An event of this scale is a huge undertaking and takes many hands to bring it all together. We were truly overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved.

If you’ve never experienced Contemporary springART, we highly recommend putting it in your calendar for next year. It really is a spectacular event, and one we feel very lucky to share with our Loreto community.

Father's Day Breakfast

Thank you to all the special Dads who came along to the Fathers Day Breakfast on Monday. It was lovely to see so many Dads enjoying a coffee and catching up. We hope you all enjoyed being celebrated last Sunday!
