NSWCCC Athletics
Last Wednesday 16th September, two students, Harry Walmsley and Audrey Cooper travelled to Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre for the NSWCCC event to represent the school and the Armidale Diocese. We are so proud of these students' efforts after all the training they have been doing. Well done on obtaining new PB's in your respective events! Fantastic work.
Netball and Soccer Gala Day
Last Friday (18th September), St Philomena's was represented by a whopping 80 Primary students across both Netball and Soccer at the annual Gala Day in Inverell. Comprising of two Netball teams and six Soccer teams there was a flood of St Philomena's red acorss the fields. Not only were students on their best behaviour and wonderful representatives of our school, but we took our the win in both the Junior and Senior Soccer Competitions! A special thanks to our High School students Riley, Noah and Omar for making the trip to referee for us as well as the teachers who make days like this happen; Mrs Schweitzer, Miss Hiscox, Mr Barker, Miss Busuttil, Miss O'Neill, Mrs Cosgrove, Miss McIntyre and Miss Jennings.
