Founders Day Mass
On Thursday, we gave thanks for the life of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy. We remembered the Sisters of Mercy who arrived to start our school in 1898. They came here from Gunnedah, 128 years ago, so families in this area could give their children a Catholic education. One of the special gifts these Sisters brought with them was the spirit of mercy—compassion and deep caring for others. We thanked and remembered the Sisters who have served in our school—Sister Molly, Sister Maria, Sister Vianney, Sister Gay Lennon, Sister Monica, and Sister Gabriel, to name a few. We acknowledged their dedication to Catholic education, and we thanked our current staff for continuing their foundational work.
Mercy Awards
Mercy Awards were presented at our Founders Day Mass, acknowledging those students who demonstrate our core values of compassion, justice, hospitality, service, justice and respect. Congratulations to our award winners:

Founders Day Boat Race
Founders Day would not be complete without our highly anticipated annual Boat Race! Secondary Houses put their engineering skills to the test, constructing cardboard vessels to race around the school grounds in a bid to claim the title of fastest boat.
Equally impressive was the talent on display during the Public Speaking segment. Each House delivered an insightful speech connecting a famous Catherine McAuley quote to contemporary school life, inspiring us all on how we can live out those timeless values every day.
