Voices of Excellence: Our School Hosts Thrilling Public Speaking Semi-Finals!
Last Thursday, Week 5, our school hall buzzed with an electric atmosphere as we proudly hosted the highly anticipated Public Speaking Semi-Final Competition. It was an afternoon that truly showcased the incredible talent and confident voices of young orators from across our community.
We extend a massive congratulations to all the students who participated, demonstrating remarkable courage and skill in presenting their well-crafted speeches. Their dedication to research, articulation, and persuasive delivery was evident in every word spoken.
A special round of applause goes to our very own Francesca from Year 5 and Harrison from Year 6, who both spoke with outstanding clarity, conviction, and poise. Francesca captivated the audience with her insightful observations, while Harrison delivered a powerful and memorable presentation that truly resonated with everyone present. Their performances were a testament to their hard work and natural flair for public address.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Harrison from Year 6 has been selected to represent our school in the upcoming Grand Finals! This is a tremendous achievement, and we wish him the very best of luck as he prepares to showcase his exceptional public speaking abilities on an even larger stage. We know he will make our school incredibly proud!
The competition was made even more vibrant by the participation of talented students from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Randwick and St. Anthony's, Clovelly who joined us at our school for this significant event. Their presence fostered a wonderful spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition amongst the young speakers.
We are also immensely grateful to the insightful and articulate students from Brigidine College who graciously served as our adjudicators. Their thoughtful feedback and discerning eyes ensured a fair and thorough assessment of each speech. Their involvement added a valuable layer of professionalism and expertise to the event.
We look forward to cheering on Harrison in the Grand Finals and continuing to foster a love for public speaking within our school community. Well done to everyone involved!
