Vinnies Sandwich‑Making Day. Volunteers Welcome!

We’re looking forward to our next Vinnies Sandwich‑Making Day and would love your support. Parents are warmly invited to come along and help make sandwiches from 9:00am–10:30am in the school staff room. It’s a simple, hands‑on way to serve our wider community and a beautiful witness of generosity for our students.

If you’re unable to attend on the day, you can still contribute by donating food items from the list provided. Simply pop your name down next to the item you’d like to bring and send it in with your child (click on the button below). You can sign up to volunteer on the day or donate items — every contribution makes a real difference. Thank you for helping us support families in need through the good work of Vinnies.

Upcoming Catholic Solemnity Feast Days.

Over the coming weeks, our Church celebrates two beautiful solemnities that hold special meaning for us in Australia and in our parish community.

August 8 – Solemnity of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop

We honour St Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first saint, whose life of courage, compassion, and service continues to inspire our schools today. Her famous words, “Never see a need without doing something about it,” remind us to look for ways to support one another and to live our faith through action.

August 15 – Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary

Catholics believe that at the end of her earthly life, Mary was taken body and soul into heaven because of her unique role in salvation history and her lifelong faithfulness. This means she didn’t experience death in the usual way, but was drawn fully into God’s life, a sign of the hope and destiny God desires for all His people.

Pope Leo's Prayer Intention for August:

For evangelization in the city. Let us pray that in large cities often marked by anonymity and loneliness we find new ways to proclaim the Gospel, discovering creative paths to build community.
