A Spotlight on Springvale
This week we celebrated World Teachers’ Day, a special opportunity to recognise and thank our wonderful teachers for their dedication, care and hard work. Our teachers are real life superheroes who go above and beyond every day to create engaging learning experiences and to support each child’s growth and wellbeing. We are so grateful for all that they do to make our school a positive, inspiring and nurturing place to learn.
On Thursday, our students were treated to a special sporting experience with the Girls’ Basketball Clinics held. The sessions were designed to build confidence, teamwork and a love of sport among our girls, while developing their fundamental basketball skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Throughout the clinics, students practised dribbling with control using both hands, explored different types of passes and worked on shooting techniques through a variety of engaging drills and games.
It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm for sport continue beyond the clinics, with many students enjoying being active during break times, playing soccer on the oval, rallying in playground volleyball games and joining in with other active games that keep everyone moving and having fun. The sense of teamwork, fair play and encouragement across the playground has been fantastic to see.
As the weather warms up, we’d like to remind all students to wear their hats during outdoor activities to stay SunSmart. Let’s keep the energy high, the teamwork strong, and the hats on as we continue to enjoy an active and healthy term!
