Sports Updates

Dear Families, Teachers and students,

On Tuesday the 4th of August, the 5/6 girls journeyed their way over to the Regional Soccer Tournament at Taylors Lake. Equipped with their impressive skills and outstanding sportsmanship, they stepped onto the field with immense confidence and persevered through the highly competitive day like heroes. 

This achievement marks the furthest ever that any Macedon soccer team has advanced through in school history. We had loads of fun and created great memories that will last for a long time. 

Over the weeks following division soccer, (which we won), we have been training hard with our coaches; Naomi and Mr.O, and have learnt so much more than we were standing at the very beginning of all this.

Our first game was really tight. Scoring the first goal of the game, the first half was close, but, at the end of the second half, we were down one point, the final score resting at 2 - 1.  

Our second game, the goals were not so close. Our team scored one remarkable goal, however, at the end of the game, we lost, 8 -  0. 

The third game we played was extremely challenging. Even though our team pushed really hard, the final scores lay at 8 - 1.

But we could not have gotten that far alone. Thank you SO much to our coaches Naomi and Mr O, and Andrew for coming along with us on the day. We could not have done it without them. We learnt so much from this experience, thank you for cheering us on! GO MACEDON!
