Vicki Wilson State Championships Finals
Last Wednesday, 5 August, our Year 8/9 Netball team travelled to Brisbane to represent St Mary’s at the Vicki Wilson State Championship Finals.
Competing in the Shield Division, our girls displayed exceptional teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the carnival. Although Day 1 proved challenging, our girls bounced back strongly on Day 2, finishing with two wins from two games - a true testament to their grit and determination.
Congratulations to Charlee A, Ari B, Sophie C, Georgia E, Mia G, Stevie K, Liueni N, Tora N, Charlotte R, Bethany W and Georgia W on an outstanding team effort across the season.
A special thank you to Mrs Tindall for all of her time, effort and dedication in helping to prepare and coach this wonderful team of young ladies.
The future of our netball program is certainly looking bright!
TCS Athletics
Congratulations to all our competitors that competed at the TCS Athletics Carnivals across Tuesday and Wednesday this week. All students represented the College with fierce determination and pride across the two days.
We are particularly proud to celebrate some outstanding individual and team achievements, including two new TCS Records:
- Maxwell A - Boys 17 years Discus: 41.44m
- Girls 16-19 years 4 x 100m Relay Team - 58.94 seconds
A huge congratulations to the following students who were awarded 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Age Champion for their outstanding performances:
- 17 Years Girls: Zoe G - 🥇1st Age Champion
- 17 Years Boys: Sam W - 🥇1st Age Champion
- 16 Years Boys: Lazarus K -🥈 2nd Age Champion
- 15 Years Girls: Hannah G - 🥇 1st Age Champion
- 14 Years Girls: Indie M - 🥉3rd Age Champion
- 13 Years Girls: Zali H - 🥈2nd Age Champion
I am also very proud to announce that 38 students have progressed to represent TCS at the Peninsula Track & Field Carnival on Sunday 23 August and Monday 24 August.
Students have been emailed a copy of the program, their TCS Selection Notification and details of the events in which they have been selected.
Congratulations to all our athletes on their fantastic efforts, and best of luck to our 38 students competing at the Peninsula Carnival!
