What a beautiful Lunar New Year celebration we shared on Sunday! Thank you to all the families, who attended and participated in the Lunar New Year Mass with our Parish. It was a beautiful celebration and a wonderful reflection of the rich diversity within our community. Thank you to our students who participated so well.
Thank you to our School Leadership Team and the School Advisory Council who were commissioned in our role as Leaders.
Congratulations to the LNY Committee for their hard work and wonderful organisation.
Out of School Care Provider Term 2
Beginning Term 2, Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) have determined that MACSEYE will be taking over the provision of Before School and After School Care at St John Vianneys. Our school will start with MACSEYE in Term 2.
The Service hours will remain the same and the service will continue to operate in the same location. Please note that there is a MACSEYE contact number on both the bottom of the flyer and letter should you wish to have specific questions answered.
Meet and Greet Interviews
Thank you to our parents who have participated in our Meet and Greet Interviews held yesterday and again today.
We hope that you have found these to be helpful and supportive of your child. The students have settled well into their learning. A reminder that if there is any issue the first point of call should be the class teacher.
Mazenod 2025 Year 12 Excellence Awards
On Monday I had the privilege of attending the Excellence Awards at Mazenod College for students who achieved an ATAR score over 90. Several past students of St John Vianney's did incredibly well scoring in the high 90s. The Dux of the College was a past student Pramesh Silva. We also congratulate Josh Scaranto, Linal Fernando, Hy Nyguyen Josh Weyermayr, and Hayden Pham. We also congratulate Lucas Pham past student of SJV who is currently in Year 12 who also received the highest study score for Music.
Assembly Awards
Dakota was nominated for a Gratitude Award for her encouraging way she helps the students in the class, using positive words and actions to help others. Great achievement!
Miss Lucy was nominated for a Gratitude award for being so kind and positive. She is always smiling and is so kind and gentle with our students. What a great start at SJV.

School photo packages were sent home with students today. If you have any questions regarding your order, payments, or reprints, please contact SchoolPix directly on 1300 766 055 for assistance.
SJV Grade 5/6 Gala Days
Our Grade 5/6 students are eagerly looking forward to the Summer Sport Gala Days, which begin this Friday. Students will need to arrive at school promptly, as the bus will depart shortly after the roll is marked. Please ensure that your child has Suncream Water bottle snack and lunch.
Carpark
For safety it is vitally important that parents are patient, observant and vigilant at all times, aware of students toddlers and other adults as they use the carpark. Please collect your child from the gate.
We seem to have more families using the Parish Carpark with the overflow extending into the top playground. It can be congested and we thank you for your patience.
If there is the ability to use the back area of our school St Johns Way (Kiss and Drop/ Collect ) and surrounding streets this may assist.
Open Days at SJV
On Monday, we began our Open Day Tours for new families. We had over 10 families attend these days. Our Next Open day will be held on March 3rd 9.15am and 10.15am. Spread the word!
