'Check out' some of our NEW books ..., It was still dark when Mr Miller opened the gates of the old zoo, but he wasn't scared because he wasn't alone. He was with Jessie the elephant and together they were going to walk from Moore Park, through the city streets, to the ferry at Fort Macquarie. Jessie was moving to her spacious new home in the soon-to-be-opened Taronga Zoological Park. Jessie's surprising journey was unlike any other and it brought a little warmth to the city on that brisk September morning in 1916., There is a path I walk with care. There is a shadow that follows me there. There is a place, a secret I keep, where something special is buried down deep., Bear is all alone and lonely until he finds the greenest, most beguiling leaf. A leaf called Greaf. Bear holds Greaf tight throughout the days and nights that follow. Bear can barely remember a time before Greaf. It is as if things have always been this way. Until one day, they aren’t. Greaf changes with the seasons, and so does Bear. As Greaf leaves him, Bear feels a lightness and warmth that he had almost forgotten. Greaf has gone, but Bear knows its memory will hold a special place in his heart forever., Prepare to be amazed as Gymnastica Fantastica attempts new physical skills and puts on wonderfully imperfect shows for whoever will watch!
