Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
As I have walked around the school this week there has been so much amazing learning. At times I see noisy busy work and at other times there is barely a sound across the school. At all of these times though the children are engaged and focused. It is wonderful to see. Thank you to our staff who work so hard to ensure that all our children are learning every day in whatever way they learn best. Thank you also to our families for entrusting your children to our care. A strong partnership between families and the school produces the best learning outcomes for our children.
On another note, and I sound like a broken record, parking and pick up. There have been some dangerous incidents reported to me. Our children need us as adults to be careful and safe. A teacher is always on duty and waiting with your children until you get the chance to get a park. No family would want to be responsible for injuring one of our children so please take care.
On Monday we celebrated with a liturgy with the arrival of the Message stick celebrating 150 years as the Diocese of Ballarat. It was a lovely celebration as a school and the message stick is now in our school foyer where it will reside until it continues its journey to St. Patrick's Stawell at the beginning of Term 3.
We wish Mrs McKinnon all the best as she heads off on a period of well-earned Long Service Leave. She will return in Week 3 of Term 3.
Today is Winter Solstice and the shortest period of daylight for the year. This may mean the children go to bed earlier tonight for you!
It's hard to believe we are heading into the last week of Term 2. We thought an 11 week term may drag but it has just flown. Just a reminder that schoool will finish at 2.25pm next Friday, the last day of term.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend
Louise
