Foundation 

This week for Religion and Inquiry, we have been exploring ways how we can care for God’s creation. We have read books, ‘Earth Book,’ and ‘I Can Save the Earth.’ We have discussed different ways we can look after our own special places. This may have included our homes, our parks, our school or a favourite place we have visited. We all came up with some very thoughtful ideas. 

We drew pictures of our special places or things and wrote, ‘I love the Earth and take care of it by….’. Some of these ideas included using both sides of a piece of paper, picking up rubbish, turning off the lights and TV when we are not using them, turning the tap off when we brush our teeth, caring for our brothers and sisters and walking and riding when we can instead of driving in our cars. We learnt that if we take care of the environment, the environment will take care of us!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Cass for her wonderful work in Miss J’s class. Miss Cass has been in Miss J’s class for the last three weeks and her last day is today. We are very grateful for the time that Miss Cass has spent with us and we will all miss her.
