Mrs Punton - Senior Classroom Teacher

Literacy:

Students have continued to learn how to extend and build on their writing to encourage development of the writing pieces they are producing. It has been excellent to read the students writing and have short conferences with the students on their development. The conference acts as a tool for the students to reflect on their writing also whilst being able to ask me questions. We look forward to our new text studies and literacy focus in Term 4.

Maths

This week students have finished exploring Statistics and Data. Students have chosen a topic of interest to them, planned their investigation through designing practice questions to ask their peers, then collected and organised their data through a tally graph and/or column/pictograph. Lastly we analysed their findings. This was a great project for the students to understand and comprehend statistics and data.
