Concert & Soiree

Congratulations to the Grade 5 and Grade 6 for the circus called The Night of Lights. They had the best night of their lives. The students performed brilliant tricks and dance moves that they had practised the whole term and did an amazing job. A huge thanks to Traci for all the time and energy to put on such a magical night.

If you didn't know, this 15th of September on Tuesday is the Soiree. The Soiree is like a concert at St. Leonard’s and it is really fun. Good luck to the 100 performers for Soiree on Tuesday night. We would like to encourage all students to come and watch their friends.

Beaut Blokes Morning

Last Friday we had our Beaut Blokes Morning. Most of our special people came for this special morning. All the students made cards for their special person. The grade 4 classes made cards and play lots of maths games. Lots of the parents said that they love the cards we made. We had so much fun.

What Did We Do As Principal for a Day?

The first thing we did is we got into two groups and thought up a plan on what we were going to do. First, we went around to all the classrooms and interview one person from their class and ask them stuff like ”What makes you feel safe and happy .

”After that we wrote the newsletter. It was really fun!

Basketball Ring Update

After taking considerably longer working through the details with our contractor than we had originally anticipated, our new basketball rings are finally ready to go! Installation is scheduled for the coming weeks, which is exciting and long overdue!

Parking

Over the holidays, lines will be marked at the Kiss and Go to support better parking during the day and better traffic flow in the evening pick up. please always proceed as far as you can (closest to Hampton St) to allow others to park more easily behind.

Second Hand Uniform Sale

A big thank you to Megan, Amy and Kirsten for organising and running our second-hand uniform sale and the considerable time and energy that goes into making this happen. The sale raised an impressive $646, while also providing families with a great opportunity to purchase good-quality uniforms and give pre-loved items another life.

Ben Hooker

A huge congratulations to Ben Hooker, who recently entered the annual Young People of Bayside Art Competition. Ben’s artwork was shortlisted as a finalist and selected for inclusion in the exhibition, which will be on display for a month at the Bayside City Council offices in Sandringham. This year’s theme was Under the Neon Lights and Ben was awarded the winner of the 10–13 age category!

This is a fantastic achievement and wonderful recognition of Ben’s creativity and artistic talent. Congratulations, Ben!
