DCS Celebration Service Award Sponsorship

As we prepare for our 2026 End of Year Celebration Service, we are seeking community-minded individuals, businesses and organisations to partner with Devonport Christian School by sponsoring a student award or scholarship.

As part of our annual Celebration Service we recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements, character, leadership, service and academic excellence demonstrated by our students throughout the year. The event brings together students, families, staff and members of the wider community to honour these accomplishments and encourage students to pursue excellence in all aspects of life.

Sports Colours Day

On Thursday 1st October, the last day of Term 3, our students will be having an end of term casual clothes day.

Students in both Primary and Secondary are invited to wear sports colours this day. Please ensure that casual clothes are appropriate with fully enclosed shoes to provide protection.

Cost is a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to Kids Cancer Project. 

End of Term Hot Dog Lunch

To celebrate the end of Term, the DCS Community Team will be running a Hot Dog lunch treat for students on Thursday 1st October.

Order forms will be sent home with students today. Please complete the form and return it to the Central Office with payment by Wednesday 23rd September.

Prices:

• Hot Dog in a Bun - $3.00

• Gluten-Free Hot Dog and Bread - $3.00

• Flavoured Milk or Juice - $2.00

• Meal Deal (Hot Dog and Drink) - $5.00

   

Cash and EFTPOS payments accepted through the Central Office.

TAS State Puzzle Competition

Calling All Puzzle Enthusiasts! Does your child love jigsaw puzzles and working as part of a team? We are looking to gauge interest from both primary and secondary students who would like to represent Devonport Christian School at the State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition being held at DCS on Tuesday 27th October, from 10:30am to 2:00pm.

Students will compete in teams of four to complete a puzzle against other schools, with trophies, medals, spot prizes, and the chance to qualify for the National Jigsaw Puzzle Championships. There will also be plenty of fun activities throughout the day, including puzzle chess, puzzle sprints, bingo, competitions, giveaways, and more.

What to expect:

• Team puzzle race (300 pieces for Primary students)

• 2-hour competition time limit

• Fun puzzle-related activities and prizes

• Spectators welcome at no cost

If your child enjoys puzzles and would be interested in participating, please register their interest by emailing chloe.smith@dcs.tas.edu.au. Places are limited, and teams will be selected based on student interest, so please register interest by Friday 16th October.
