Student achievements

Sophie M of Year 11 qualified for the 2025 Australian Interschool Championships on her horse, Warrawee Breez. They placed second at the 2025 Victorian Interschool Championships representing Gisborne Secondary College - qualifying for Nationals in Sydney.

Over the September school holidays, Sophie travelled to Sydney and competed against kids Australia wide. In the two dressage tests, Sophie came 4th and 7th, from 21 senior school kids, placing sixth overall in Australia!

Isabelle K of Year 10 has had a busy few weeks competing at State level in the School Sports Victoria Athletics as well as the Age Group World Triathlon held in Wollongong.

In the former, Issy achieved 3rd place in the 1500m track event after leading the event until the final 200m.

In the triathlon, Issy competed in the sprint distance, achieving a personal best on the bike and a sub-20min 5km off the bike, coming 36th overall in her category.

Issy's older sister and GSC alumnus Elle also competed in the triathlon in the Olympic/standard distance in her age group, coming 21st overall whilst carrying a hamstring strain!
