Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial

In 2014 the trustees commenced a campaign to suggest in lieu of wreaths, a book tribute be placed instead.  The following books have been donated to our Ballarat High school library:

• The will to survive: three and a half years as a prisoner of the Japanese by Arthur Godman

• Guts and glory: Diggers, sport and war by Peter Rees

• The volunteer: diaries and letters of Albert E. Coates 

• The Changi Brownlow: an inspirational story of the Aussie team spirit – mateship and sacrifice, courage and endurance

• Great moments in Australian history by Jonathan King
