Year 7 Camp

Our Year 7 students recently enjoyed a fantastic camp experience at Alexandra Adventure Resort, filled with new challenges, teamwork and plenty of time in the great outdoors. Across the camp, students embraced opportunities to build connections with their peers while trying a range of exciting activities.
Many students showed great courage as they pushed themselves outside their comfort zones, particularly when facing activities involving heights. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, whether they were supporting their peers through the low ropes course or working together to hoist each other up for a turn on the giant swing. The sense of teamwork and encouragement shown by our Year 7 cohort was truly impressive.
Camp also provided opportunities for students to develop important life skills. From setting up their beds to keeping track of their belongings and packing up their cabins, students demonstrated growing independence and responsibility throughout the experience.
Camp also provided students with the chance to disconnect from their devices and spend meaningful time outdoors. Surrounded by nature, students enjoyed fresh air, physical activity and the opportunity to strengthen friendships in a relaxed and supportive environment.
We would like to thank the wonderful camp staff, who were welcoming, supportive and enthusiastic throughout our stay, along with all our BHS staff for the energy and enthusiasm you brought, as you made the experience both enjoyable and memorable for our students. A huge thank you also goes out to Kirby Lee, who organised and coordinated the logistics throughout the entire camp experience, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Overall, it was a fantastic few days that helped strengthen friendships, build confidence and create lasting memories for our Year 7 students.
