Hands on Learning

Hands on Learning (HoL)  is a new program to Ballarat High School which aims to improve student engagement, welbeing and connectedness to school. It runs one day a week and enables students to focus on real life skills and projects. 

This week we had our first session of HoL. It was really pleasing to see the students engage in the program and work effectively, even in the warm weather.  Thank you to staff who have been passed and checked out the potted colour garden bed that we worked on. 

Next week we are off to Bunnings for a workshop, ' tools for teens'. Our students will learn how to safely use a range of handheld tools and construct a project of their choosing. 

Can't wait to share the progress students make in this space in the future.
