Sports Update
SSV Secondary State Track and Field Championships
On Friday, we had two Year 8 students and Sports Academy members, Jasper Brown and Aiden Power, represent our school at state level in athletics. Both boys should be super proud of their efforts, with Aiden producing an amazing run in the 12/13 Boys 800m to take home the silver medal in a PB of 2:11. Incredible work Aiden! Jasper also did amazing job just finishing his 3000m event after being ill during the week.
Well done boys: it's an amazing achievement to compete and perform at this level!

GMD Year 7/8 Summer Sports Day
Our Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed a fantastic day of competition at the GMDDSV Summer Sports Day on 14 October, with some excellent results across a range of sports.
Our clay target shooters were particularly impressive, with Dakota, Michael, Claudia, Lenny and Grace completing a clean sweep of the Year 7 and 8 boys’ and girls’ events.
Our Year 7 boys’ cricket team also performed strongly, progressing through to the grand final against Notre Dame in the Woolworths Blast-style competition, while our Year 8 boys’ volleyball team enjoyed a couple of wins throughout the day.
Congratulations to all students who participated, demonstrated great sportsmanship and represented our school with pride!
