The HPS Big Freeze is back for Version 2.0 in 2026!
On Friday the 12th of June, Hampton Primary School will once again turn blue for a very important cause as we take part in our second annual DIY Big Freeze to support Fight MND.
Fight MND charity was created by the late Australian AFL legend Neale Daniher and his family to help raise awareness and vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). MND is a devastating disease that affects thousands of Australians and currently has no cure. As Neale said, his cause is to “help fight the beast of MND”.
Following the success of last year’s event, we are excited to continue supporting this incredible cause and helping Australians impacted by MND. Students are encouraged to wear blue on the day and bring along a gold coin donation.


During assembly, and due to popular demand by the HPS community, there will be plenty of staff members that will be braving the cold elements and participating in the famous ice bucket challenge copping a nice freezing ice bucket!
