Principal's News

Dear Families & Friends,
Another great two weeks at Trinity which started with our special mass last week to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity. Fr Trung always makes this feast day mass an enjoyable experience for our children, engaging them in the celebration and reflecting on the meaning of this feast day, especially for our school community. It was also great to have a number of families join us on the day. These masses are an important part of school life at Trinity and I always encourage parents and other family members, whether you are Catholic or not, to join us whenever you are able.
Home Learning Review
Thankyou to our 28 families who have already responded to our recent Home Learning Survey. We would love even more feedback so if you have not yet had the chance to complete this 5 minute survey here is the link again: Home Learning Survey HERE
Condolences
We offer our sincere condolences to Mr Frank Anania whose beautiful mum passed away peacefully this week, surrounded by her loving family. I am sure you will all join me in offering your prayers and thoughts at this sad and difficult time.
Xavier Scholarships
As many of you may be aware, we are very fortunate to have an ongoing relationship with Xavier college whereby our Year 6 boys are invited to apply for a scholarship to the college. Last week, staff from Xavier visited Trinity to meet with several boys who were shortlisted for the scholarship. Following these meetings one boy and his family will have the opportunity to meet with Xavier and if successful will be offered a scholarship for Year 7 entry in 2027. We sincerely thank Xavier College for their ongoing support of our Year 6 boys.
District Cross Country
On Wednesday 3rd June the following Trinity children competed at the District Cross Country Event after successfully qualifying in their previous race.
1. Liv and Amelia V - Girls 9/10Y
2. Olivia V and Lenora - Girls 11Y
3. Saul - Boys 11Y
Sadly, Georgia in Year 6 was not able to compete on the day.
Whilst the weather was not the best, providing a further challenge, each of our students braved the cold to do their best. We are extremely proud of each one of them especially hearing that they were there for each other, cheering on their school mates. The races were strongly contested with more than 40 runners in each race. Only the top 10 will go through to the next round, Regionals.
Liv in Year 5 will proceed to Regionals in 2 weeks time.
School Closure Day - Tuesday 9th June
Thank you all for your support in enabling our staff to participate in the Berry Street Professional Learning Program at Xavier College on Tuesday this week. It was a fantastic day for us to be able to spend time together with our facilitator Phil from Berry Street. His knowledge and expertise led us a through a refresher day which covered all components of the Berry Street Model.
Through evidence-informed strategies, educators gain the tools to meet diverse learning needs, enhancing student engagement, self-regulation, relationships, wellbeing, and academic achievement. Grounded in 25 years of trauma-informed practice, positive psychology, and the science of learning, the Berry Street Education Model helps schools build a consistent and predictable whole-school approach that supports the wellbeing of all students.
DADFIT - Starts This Saturday
Dadfit runs free local community program that helps dads connect, improve their wellbeing, and become more confident parents and partners.
Dadfit brings dads together through exercise, practical conversations, and peer support, making it easier for fathers to build healthy habits and strong local connections.
We've seen a strong response from families, and an independent evaluation has shown significant benefits for dads' mental health, relationships, and community connection.
We're currently promoting an upcoming local Dadfit program in Richmond.
The program commences on June 16 at The Factory on Belgium Avenue and runs for 5 weeks.
