Reflections on Faith
From the desk of the Religious Education Coordinator - Miss McMeniman
It is a time to reflect on what makes our community special: our commitment to educational excellence, our supportive environment, and the faith that grounds everything we do.
Schedule of Events
Monday, 25th May: Mary Help of Christians Mass To launch our celebrations, we will gather as a whole school community for the Mary Help of Christians Mass. This liturgy is especially significant as we honor the Patroness of Australia.
Hosts: Stage 1
Wednesday, 27th May: Deanery Mass in Armidale
Our Stage 3 students and staff will travel to Armidale to represent our school at the Deanery Mass. Held at the Cathedral, this is a beautiful opportunity for our senior students to stand alongside peers from across the Diocese, witnessing the strength of the wider Catholic Church in our region.
Thursday, 28th May: Carlo Acutis Display & Sisters of Immaculata
We are blessed to welcome the Sisters of Immaculata, who will be visiting us with a special display dedicated to Blessed Carlo Acutis. Carlo, the first millennial to be beatified, is a wonderful role model for our students, showing how faith and modern life (including a love for technology!) can go hand in hand. All students will have the opportunity to visit the display and hear from the Sisters.
Friday, 29th May: UNE Discovery Bus
We wrap up the week by celebrating the joy of learning and the wonders of God’s creation. The UNE Discovery Bus will be on-site all day, engaging students in hands-on scientific experiments. It promises to be a day of high energy, curiosity, and "lightbulb" moments!
