EASTER - He is Risen ‘ALLELUIA’

Our school community came together in a joyful and reverent Easter Assembly, reflecting on the meaning of the season and celebrating the risen Christ. A special highlight was the tradition of “digging up the Alleluia,” symbolising the return of this joyful word after the solemn period of Lent. Through prayer, song and storytelling, students were reminded of the hope, renewal and new life that Easter brings. It was a beautiful celebration of faith and a meaningful way for our students to deepen their understanding of the Easter message.

In the very early hours of Saturday morning our Captains, staff and their families proudly represented our school community at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Caringbah. They conducted themselves with great respect and maturity as they joined local veterans, community members and schools in honouring the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country. Their participation in this significant commemoration reflected the values of remembrance, gratitude and citizenship that we strive to foster in our students. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school on this important occasion.

On Tuesday we celebrated our own ANZAC Liturgy. We came together as a school community, shared a Gospel passage and prayers before reciting the Ode and listening to the Last Post and Reveille. By gathering at the dawn service or observing a moment of silence in our school hall, we teach our students that true heroism is found in service to the common good.

Let us hold those who currently serve and our veterans in our prayers, asking for God’s blessing upon them and for the wisdom to be instruments of peace in our own lives.

Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day

On Tuesday 13th May, we will celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima, an important occasion in our School’s Catholic tradition.

To mark this special day, students in Years 4–6 will attend a Parish Mass at 9:15am, while students in Kindergarten to Year 2 will participate in a reverent liturgy at school. We warmly welcome all parents and carers to join us as we come together in prayer and reflection to honour Our Lady of Fatima.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Amen
