CIS Cross Country
Congratulations to the following students who participated in the CIS Cross Country, which was held at the Australian Equestrian Cente on Thursday 6 June. Athough it was a tough, muddy course, students performed extremely well.
A special congratulations to Cristiano Calcarao who placed first in his U13 age group with a time of 10:09.

Specialised Sprint and Distance training for Athletics continues every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Beauchamp Oval, Chatswood from 7:15 am.
Who: Open to all Junior and Senior Students.
What to wear: Comfortable running gear
What to Bring: Water bottle and your school uniform to change into afterwards back at The College.
If you are interested in some extra training or for general fitness, feel free to join the Willoughby Park runs on Saturday mornings at 7:00 am. We have created a SPX Runners Club for you to keep track of your results.

MWJCA Awards Night - Individual Awards
The Manly Warringah Junior Cricket Association (MWJCA) recently held its annual Awards Night, celebrating the achievements of young cricketers. This year, the spotlight shone on three exceptional St Pius X players for their outstanding individual performances during the 2023/24 season:
Connor Koruga – U12/2 Felix Keeler – U13/2 Anton Haigh – U14/2.
Congratulations to Connor, Felix, and Anton for their exceptional performances and to all participants for an incredible season. Unfortunately, Anton was not able to attend the night and receive his award.

CSDA Debating
The CSDA debating rounds have come to an end and the eliminations have started. Congratulations to all debaters for your participation and hard work this season, hopefully we will see you again next year.
Only our undefeated 12B’s will be continuing their debating journey, and they will be going straight through to the Quarter Finals on Friday 28 June. The location will be determined closer to the date and further details will be sent out as they are made available.
All teams which did not make it through are no longer required at training/debating on Friday nights.

The rain dampened our plans on the weekend with no teams being able to play. This weekend hopefully the weather will be kinder. Please note for teams playing Oxley and Chevalier that substantial travel time is required.

Coerver Coaching holiday camps offer a fun filled soccer experience for children aged 9-16 years. Each day will include Coerver® SKILLS competitions and challenges, Ball Mastery, Coaching sessions focusing on developing effective use of skill, small sided Coerver® Games, and mini Coerver Cup Tournament to keep players active.
With 2, 3 and 4 day options available this is a huge amount of footballing fun!

Saturday 22 June is the annual Rugby Supporter's Day at Oxford Falls. Please make sure you all stay around and support the 1sts and 2nds on the weekend. Many of the students in Year 12 have been playing rugby since they were Year 5 students at the College and its always great to show support for them in their final year. It's also great for the younger students to be part of the cheering to see where they will be in years to come.
Rugby State Championships
Congratulations to all the students from St Pius X College that went to the Rugby State Championships over the long weekend. In particular, well done to Lachlan Guest, Lucas Bruce, Henry Gardner, Albie Peasland, Harrison Broers & Archie Kay who were selected for the U13s Gordon team seen below.
Well done to the students who played in the U15 rugby state championships in Maitland which included Blaise O'Brien, Xavier Davidson, Bradley Newman (Gordon). Congratulations to Matari Webster (Marlins) who ended up becoming plate grand final winners. Also well done to Riley Atkinson who played in the U14 state championships in Dubbo for the Marlins who was a runner up in the cup grand final.

The Rugby Committee is excited to host this fun night out for the rugby community and welcomes ALL other SPX parents.

We will also have live entertainment by Dow Jones and the All Ordinaries, and the chance to participate in raffles and auctions. This will be a night full of surprises! Your attendance plays a crucial role in helping raise funds to support the growth and development of our young men.

Unfortunately last week's home games were cancelled due to the overnight rain. We are grateful to our Division 4 & 9 parents who travelled to Bowral, only to have the games cancelled due to unforeseen weather. Your dedication to providing your son with the opportunity to play tennis is greatly appreciated.
This week marks the final round of tennis for this term before the holidays. Please find below the details for the upcoming matches:
- Division 1 will be competing against Oakhill at Oakhill College.
- Division 2, 4, 5, 8, 10 will be competing against St Andrew's at Talus St, St Leonards.
- Division 3, 5, 7, 9 will be competing against St Andrew's at Eastside Courts, Kingsford.
- Blue and Gold teams will be playing at Oxford Falls.
We are hopeful for clearer skies this week and look forward to a successful round of matches.
