The Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) ran again this year at our school with a large number of students involved.

The Maths Talent Quest is an excellent opportunity for students to complete a project where they are exploring Maths in real world situations. Students had the opportunity to participate and select their own investigation topic based on their personal learning interests and apply mathematics in context.

Our school had 59 students involved across 26 entries – the greatest number of participants and entries since we began the MTQ at our school. Not only that, but we also achieved our best ever results!

  • High Distinction – 8 students / 4 entries
  • Distinction – 33 students / 8 entries
  • Credit – 4 students / 3 entries
  • Participation – 14 students / 11 entries

Congratulations to our 8 students who received High Distinctions- Aaradhya S (Level 6), Ben B (Level 6), Charlotte C (Level 5), Mila C (Level 5), Isabella A (Level 4), Georgie L (Level 4), Lily R (Level 4) and Sophie B (Level 4) who attended the MTQ Award Ceremony at the University of Melbourne on Monday 27 October.

A special congratulations to Aaradhya Sharma who also received a National Award.

All students that received a Credit or Distinction will receive a certificate at assembly in the coming weeks, and participation certificates will be handed out in class.

We are very proud of all the students who entered the MTQ this year and look forward to seeing their creativity in their projects again next year.
