When we return from school holidays, our Year 9 students will be embarking on their city experience excursions. Here they will learn about Melbourne and visit several Melbourne landmarks to help them learn about our city, its culture and its history.

9A, 9B, and 9C will be in the city from Tuesday 6 October till Friday 9 October. Classes for 9D, 9E and 9F will run as usual during this week.

9D, 9E and 9F will be in the city from Tuesday 13 October till Friday 16 October. Classes for 9A, 9B and 9C will run as usual for this week.

A reminder to students to be at Dandenong Station at the designated times on the timetable provided to them.

We look forward to a fantastic two weeks exploring the city with our students.

On Tuesday 8 October, Year 7 students met for an assembly where they wrote notes of encouragement for our Year 12 students, who are about to embark on exams when they return in Term 4. Students were awarded a delicious pancake with maple syrup in exchange for their notes of encouragement.

Towards the end of the term, some of our Year 9 students got to experience the world of work through the organisation ‘Inspired by You’. Students got to visit Cummins Company, specialising in making engines.

Below is an account of the day by Siarrah Spirovski (9E):

The Cummins excursion helped me to see a variety of career options for my future pathway. This experience was enjoyable as we got to look at the products made there, such as the trucks and engines stored in the warehouse. On behalf of the class, we were very grateful for this opportunity to look into potential workplaces for the future.

In 2027, we are planning on running a Year 8 camp. This will be for two nights at the beginning of March next year. It is at the Lady Northcote Discovery Camp outside Bacchus Marsh. The event is posted on Compass and with limited spots, families should pay the deposit to confirm a position on the camp. More information will be coming about this soon.

Wishing all our students a restful break and looking forward to continuing our work with them in the final term of the year.
