G Day

On Friday, November 15, we celebrated G Day, a celebration of Grandparents and other Great People in the lives of our Year 7 students. The afternoon began with a liturgy, during which students expressed their gratitude and blessed their guests.

This was followed by a fantastic display of talent from our Year 7 and 8 students, who performed dances, songs, and music. The day concluded with a relaxing cuppa and quality time.

Twilight Tours

We had a wonderful evening on Thursday, November 21, for our Twilight Tours, welcoming 52 families to explore our beautiful 100-acre campus. It was fantastic to see so many new faces discovering our vibrant programs and connecting with our staff and students.

From the VR lab to the student-run café, they experienced a glimpse of the incredible opportunities Chevalier has to offer. We loved sharing our community with them and look forward to welcoming many of them back soon.

Orientation Day

Recently, we were thrilled to welcome our Year 7 2025 students and their families to the college for a fun-filled and informative Orientation Day. The event kicked off with a magical "Harry Potter-style" house sorting ceremony, where students were excitedly assigned to their new houses.

The students then enjoyed a series of fun outdoor games with their Buddy Leaders, helping them get to know their new peers in a relaxed and supportive environment. They also had a chance to step inside the classroom and experience a taste of what their school day will be like.

Meanwhile, parents and carers took part in an informative Q&A session, where they were able to learn more about the College's programs and ask questions. The morning wrapped up with a morning tea, offering families the chance to connect and chat in a warm, welcoming setting.

We are so excited to begin this journey with our new Year 7’s and their families and can't wait to see all the amazing things they will achieve at our College!

Carols in McGrath

On Thursday, November 28, we had our annual Christmas Carols celebration. We overcame a wet weather forecast by moving from the Meadow to McGrath Hall, which transformed into a cosy, festive haven for the evening.

A huge round of applause goes to Mr. Combes and the CAPA team for delivering an incredible Christmas Carols show. Their performances were undoubtedly the highlight, showcasing their creativity and hard work.

Families embraced the indoor setting, enjoying cosy BYO picnics on rugs beneath the beautiful festive lighting. The atmosphere was cheerful and inviting, and feedback from our guests has been positive.

Events like these not only give our students the chance to shine but also play a vital role in bringing our community together, fostering a sense of belonging and shared joy that we all treasure. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this celebration so special!

Volunteer Thank You Event

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting a special Volunteer Thank You Evening to express our gratitude to the many parents, carers, and community members who have generously donated their time and energy to support our College.

From assisting at BBQs and helping with event committees, to coaching sports teams, their dedication has made a lasting impact on our school community. It was a wonderful celebration of the spirit of community and giving that makes our College a thriving, supportive place for all students.

We thanked one very special volunteer, George, who has volunteered as a cricket umpire for the College for over 25 years. We are humbled by his remarkable service and wish him all the best in his retirement as he steps away from the crease.

We are incredibly thankful for the contributions of every volunteer, and we look forward to continuing to work together to make our College even stronger in the year ahead. Thank you for making a difference!
