Chevalier Wellbeing Youth Summit

On Monday, the 25th, Chevalier College proudly hosted a wellbeing conference, marking the revival of a cherished tradition that had been paused during COVID.

Thanks to the dedication of Mr Small, Sarah, and a passionate group of senior students and teachers, the event was brought back to life, creating an inspiring space for collaboration and growth.

The conference welcomed 21 Year 12 student leaders from five Southern Highlands schools, who came together to learn, share ideas, and strengthen their leadership skills. The day featured four workshops run by Chev’s own student leaders, each focusing on key areas such as goal setting, mental health, building community, and time management.

The workshops offered everyone the chance to meet peers from other schools and engage in meaningful discussions. A highlight of the day was completing the VIA Strength Survey, which helped students identify their personal strengths and explore how these traits could be applied within their own leadership teams.

The day concluded with a brainstorming session where students collaborated in groups to develop initiatives to implement in their schools. It was a fantastic opportunity for fostering connections, sharing insights, and building leadership skills across the Highlands.

Some wonderful connections were made and an intention was established to maintain and enhance inter-school connectedness throughout the day.

Student Café

We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Student Café — an initiative designed to enhance students’ access to their school profiles and improve online efficiency. Built with functionality and simplicity in mind, this innovative platform operates similarly to the Parent Portal, offering a centralised hub for all aspects of a student’s school life.

The Student Café is a one-stop platform where students can access their timetables, academic reports, attendance records, and personalised upcoming events. From excursion schedules to whole-school activities synced to individual calendars, along with daily notices, the Student Café ensures students remain informed and connected to everything happening at school.

This platform is more than just a resource—it empowers students to better manage their academic and extracurricular commitments. For example, senior students applying for early entry programs will find the streamlined access to academic reports particularly helpful, making the application process smoother and more efficient.

The Student Café is coming soon, and we can’t wait for students to start using it. By centralising key resources and opportunities, this platform will enable students to make the most of their time at Chev.

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for its launch!
