Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
This year, the College celebrates its 40th year. A number of events have been marked to celebrate this significant occasion.
On Tuesday 10 June, the entire College assembled on the oval to have an aerial drone shot. We wanted to capture this milestone in a photo. This photo will become a special part of the College’s history for years to come and we are looking forward to seeing the final product shortly.
We celebrated our Social Justice Mass on Tuesday. Fr Andrzej Madry, Parish Priest of St Justin's and Good Shepherd, led the service. Fr Madry’s challenge to all our students was the importance of being Good Shepherds. The Gospel was about the lost sheep, and his homily reflected on the importance of all of us helping and assisting those who may be lost, vulnerable, disadvantaged or struggling. Our Vinnies Community were able to put this into action through their fundraising activity – Food Drive. I thank them and all the contributors. Your efforts will assist people in need in many ways and nourish them with the basic essentials that are required.
Last week, many of our families, students and friends were privileged to witness the many months of practice and rehearsals come to fruition. The school production ‘High School Musical’ was spectacular. Our students and staff were outstanding and the quality of the production was so professional that one would think that they were in Broadway watching a musical.
The theme and storyline of the production are quite significant. It focused on having the courage to do what one believes in without allowing peer pressure to sway us. Many of our students and leads were great examples of this. Clearly, our students had the courage to give it a go and utilise their talents. In doing so, they have formed close friendships and received accolades they all truly deserve. It was an outstanding production. I congratulate the cast and crew, Co-Directors - Hayley Keating and Tim Bland, Assistant Director - Nyudong Landid, Stage Manager - Em Beggs, and the Producers - Simon Landid and Kathleen Taura.
Scholarships are now open for the 2026 school year. Please refer to the College webpage for details. Alternatively, please contact Ms Angie Palmer for further information.
