Welcome back to Term 2!

It was wonderful to see students return to school refreshed and ready to learn last week. Students in all learning centres have done an excellent job settling back into our school routines and are already hitting the ground running with their learning.

A highlight of this week was our whole school event, the Hercules production. This special performance brought both campuses together and fostered a strong sense of community. Students were captivated by the engaging storyline, vibrant songs, and impressive stage production. Beyond the entertainment, Hercules explored important themes that resonated with our students, including perseverance, courage and discovering what it truly means to be a hero. It emphasised that true strength shown through kindness, making positive choices and supporting others. These messages provided valuable opportunities for reflection and discussion in classrooms.

In other news, the kitchen garden on the Springvale Campus is thriving, with a wide variety of vegetables growing beautifully as a result of the hard work Mrs Griffiths and the students have put in during Term 1. Adding to the charm of the space is a brand new scarecrow which has quickly become a much-loved feature of the garden.

We are also looking forward to some special upcoming events. Our traditional FLC Mother’s Day Celebration will be held on Friday 8th May and our Mother’s Day Stall will take place on Wednesday 6th May, giving students in all year levels the opportunity to choose a thoughtful gift for their mum or someone special.
