Last term, the 3/4s went to camp. At 8:30 in the morning, my mum dropped me off. “Goodbye,” she said. At 9:15, we boarded the bus. We waved at the parents and said, “Goodbye!” I was partnered with Raiden, who sat in the aisle seat while I sat in the window seat. The bus ride was very long, taking up to an hour and forty-five minutes. Luckily, we had Mrs P, who kept me and my friends company.
When we got there, it was very cold. Ms Thai told all of us to get a random piece of luggage. Then, Jess, one of the camp staff, introduced us to the facility. After we ate and saw the cabins, my friends and I played soccer. However, while we were playing, it started to RAIN!!!
My group's first activity was bushwalking, where we saw lots of different species of birds.

After that, we did hut building. My group consisted of me, Alice, Jesse, Maxwell and Denzel. My group built the strongest hut! After that, we showered. Then, we had dinner, where I ate rice and meatballs. Finally, we had trivia night, and at 9:30, it was lights out. On Day 1, I felt really happy but tired from the bus ride.
On Day 2, I had a very big brekkie in the morning. At 9:30, we started our activities. My group's first activity was mountain trail biking, followed by archery. After we finished archery, we had lunch, which was a wrap. Then, we continued our activities. We had rock climbing, followed by low ropes. We had a really fun time at low ropes, playing games like memory tag and octopus.

After that, we showered and had dinner, which was a beef sausage and patty with coleslaw. After we ate, we watched a movie called Toy Story. It was a really fun movie, but the projector broke, and JP had to come and fix it. While he fixed it, the teachers started giving out popcorn. Then, at 9:30, we went to bed.
When everyone in my dorm woke up on Day 3, we quickly packed our bags and had our usual breakfast. Then, we had adventure sports, where my group came 4th! At 12:35, we took a group photo, boarded the bus and said goodbye.
Overall, I had a really fun trip, and I felt energetic. If I could, I would stay for a week!

Day 1
Wednesday last term, the Grade 3/4s went to camp at Anglesea Valley Lodge. My group (Group 3) started the day off with bushwalking with Zoey. It was soooo long, but it gave us time to admire the birds and nature. The next activity was hut-building. Let's just say it was hard, but we still gave it a go. Then, we had dinner. It was like a buffet, but I hated that I was almost the last person to get my food. It was cold by then. After dinner, we had Trivia Night, and I think my team lost, but it was worth a try. After Trivia Night, they called us to our cabin to go to sleep, but my cabin and I did the opposite.

Day 2
My group started with mountain bike riding with JP. I had to go on a black bike while everyone else went on a green bike. At least we took a route through the forest. The next activity was archery (I felt like Katniss Everdeen!). I mostly missed the target, but it's okay. The third activity was rock climbing. Let's just say I did not get to the top, but it was honestly okay. The fourth activity was low ropes. I skipped some because it was hard, but they had a swing! Then, we had dinner. I had sausages, beef patties and salad. After dinner, we watched Toy Story 1 and then went to bed.
Good night!....
Day 3
We packed to go back to school and took a 90-minute bus ride. The best thing about leaving was seeing my mum after three days, but the worst thing was leaving camp and all the fun activities we did. When we got back to school, it felt weird seeing school again. Don't get me wrong, school is great, but it felt different. Goodbye, Camp. Shout out to my mum!
The end (for now).

On Wednesday 9th of September until the 11th of September all the 3/4 classes went to camp at Anglesea Valley Lodge. When we arrived at camp, we found out which cabins we were staying in. We were so excited to share a cabin with our friends.

At the camp we did a lot of activities like bush walking, mountain bike riding, and hut
building, rock climbing, archery, low ropes. We also had free time where we could play different sports and games with our friends. There were so many fun things to do, and every day was full of adventure! On the first trivia night, all the students sat in their teams and the teachers handed all the students, papers and we had to answer all the questions correctly to win! It was so much fun!
On day 2 we woke up nice and early to start another fun filled day! We brushed our teeth and got dressed . For breakfast, there was toast, cereal and for toast you could get baked beans or eggs if they wanted. After breakfast we did more activities like rock climbing, archery, low ropes, and then we had free time. My favourite activity was the low ropes and rock climbing. Rock climbing was exciting because we had to climb up the wall and challenge ourselves to reach the top. The camp leaders were really helpful and friendly, their names were Jess, JP, and Zoe and Steven
For dinner we ate patties and sausages and some other side dishes. After we ate our dinner, we got some delicious desserts and for desserts we had cake with ice cream. Then, we had the movie night, we were all in our pyjamas and the teachers even gave us popcorn! Then we were surprised to watch Toy Story 1. We were tired after a big day of activities, but we were excited about our last day of camp!
On our last day, day 3 we woke up, brushed our teeth then we got breakfast. I had toast again but with strawberry jam and butter. If we wanted, we could have also had eggs, beans or cereal again. After breakfast we did some team building activities, some of the games we did were secret ninja and other activities where we had to all work together to be the best coloured team to win. It was so much fun working altogether with our team, the pink team ended up winning!

After our final activities, we had hot dogs for lunch then we had to pack up our cabins and get ready to go back to school and arrived at APS after an hour.
We were all so sad to leave camp, I had so much fun at camp, we spent a lot of time with our friends, making new friends and doing all different fun activities. I can't wait to go on camp again!!

On the 9th of September 2026, The whole 3/4 grade came to Anglesea Valley Lodge to experience the joy of camping with classmates and bond with them to create stronger relationships with one another. Throughout the whole camping, the activity I enjoyed the most was Archery, the reason why is because it brought great joy and anticipation to me every time I held the bow with a hard grip. Also, it felt like playing with chance, waiting for the arrow to place in the vast field or the board. The key highlight of the camp was overall the food made by our lovely cook, who we appreciate so much since she bothered to cook for us.

The activity I enjoyed the most at camp was the amazing low ropes. I loved that activity because you have to complete an obstacle course and once you get to the end, you get to ride a flying - fox like car tyre! You can be pushed lightly like the wind, or roughly like a storm! After every round, we each got one High-5 card, which made the activity challenging, while being fairly competitive.
