Prep

This term, our Prep students have been exploring Earth and Space Science, with a focus on seasons, weather and how changes in the environment affect living things.

Students have investigated how different places experience seasons in different ways, including learning about the seasonal patterns of Arnhem Land and how these differ from the seasons we experience. We have also been exploring daily weather conditions and discussing how the weather influences the clothes we choose to wear each day.

As part of our learning, students have discovered how seasonal changes affect animal behaviours. We have explored examples such as hibernation and discussed how animals adapt to changes in their environment.
