 Foundation, year 1 and year 2 

It was great to have students science lessons for this term. We had a great lesson thinking about all of the wonderful things trees provide us and the environment, in celebration of Schools National Tree Day which is on 24th July.

Students collected some interesting leaves and completed some leaf rubbings.                      

Year 5 Plants 4 Space Excursion

Students had a great day at the University of Melbourne working with scientists from the Plants 4 Space Unit, learning about growing plants for space, how plants can be modified to make them more suitable for growing in space and also the importance of adequate nutrition for astronauts. Students worked in teams to analyse the nutritional content of a space salad and then to create a ‘new’ space food plant.
