Principal's Page

Dear Families,
We had a wonderful morning on Friday, acknowledging, thanking and working with our grandparents and other important people in our lives. Our students are fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who love and care for them. Prep students and their grandparents led our mass before our special guests visited the learning spaces and shared places around the world they have visited and other special places to them. We had grandparents attending from Sydney, Adelaide, Maffra, Werribee, as well as many Melbourne suburbs. We are really appreciative of the efforts people went to be present. Thank you to the families that baked and contributed towards the morning tea. Friday was the day chosen to celebrate Grandparents to link with St Joachim and St Anne's (Jesus' Grandparents) Feast Day on July 26th.
A Prayer
We thank you for the gift of our grandparents and all the older people in our lives.
Thank you for their love, wisdom, faith and the many ways they enrich our families.
Bless them with good health, joy and peace. Strengthen them in times of difficulties and help them to continue sharing their love and guidance with future generations.
Teach us to honour and respect them,
to be patient and kind,
and to cherish the gift of their presence.
Amen
nForma
You would have been reminded to download the new nForma Connect App. The old App (nForma for Parents) will be decommissioned by the end of this week. You may find the link to a guide for the new app helpful. https://nforma-help.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000437532-nforma-connect-app
Let's Talk Launch
The Let's Talk Program was launched at assembly last week. It is wonderful to see the Let's Talk Buddies wearing their pink vests and lanyard during recess and lunch breaks and looking out for students who may need to talk to someone. Jenny Todd has written more about the mental health initiative on the Student Wellbeing page.
100 Days Brighter
Congratulations to our wonderful Prep students who will celebrate their 100th day at School on Wednesday. It is a privilege to watch them grow, learn and develop.
Kaboom Sports - Commonwealth Games Incursion
We ask all students to wear their PE uniform this Thursday as we celebrate the Commonwealth Games with a visit from Kaboom Sports. Students will participate in a unique tabloid sports experience designed to engage and amaze, where nobody stands still, full of explosive energy, music and fun! It has a strong focus on multi-age teamwork and leadership opportunities for senior school students.
Whole School Athletics Carnival
Our Whole School Athletics Carnival will be held again this year at the Southern Peninsula Little Athletics Centre, Truemans Rd, Tootgarook on Friday 7th August. Please check the nForma published yesterday. For the day to run successfully we need lots of volunteers. If you are able to assist, it would be greatly appreciated. A big thank you to Jenny for the many hours she puts in to organise the day.
Fathering Project
All dads and father figures are invited to attend an evening of fun and connection at the Truman's Road Golf Range next Tuesday evening at 5:00pm. An nForma was sent home today containing more details.
