Today at the Epping RSL we learnt about the significance of Remembrance Day and the world wars.

We learnt about the tanks they used in multiple wars throughout the 1900s and the importance of them in the battles. We also learnt that the top and bottom of the tanks are the weakest spots and the sides are very strong. We also learnt about how warfare has changed and how it's not tanks or infantry anymore, its more disposable things like drones.

We visited the cenotaph and found it why it is important and that Parliament House in Canberra faces the War Memorial and the cenotaph there to remind the Prime Minister to always think about the impact that their decisions could have on our future.

We got to lay a cross for a fallen soldier each which was very special.

At the end, we got given hot chips in the members lounge. We are thankful for the Poppy Ladies at the RSL because they took the time out of their week to crochet us a teddy bear each. They also make a lot of poppies for the RSL club and make it look great and full of poppies.

We are looking forward to commemorating Remembrance Day at the RSL next week at the Service.
