Careers in Agriculture

Helping the next generation find their place in Queensland agriculture
Queensland agriculture needs talented, curious people - and a new resource from the Queensland Farmers’ Federation is helping students across the state discover just how many pathways the industry has to offer.
The Careers in Agriculture magazine is a free, comprehensive guide to careers across Queensland’s food, fibre and foliage industries. Developed for students, teachers and parents, it features real stories from people working across the sector - from apprentice agricultural technicians and agronomists to drone pilots, biosecurity officers and agribusiness founders.
The magazine covers seven Queensland industries including Cotton, Cane, Livestock, Dairy, Horticulture, Forestry and Aquaculture, and includes study pathway guides, career matching tools and links to further resources through careerharvest.com.au.
We encourage you to share this resource with your networks, members and communities. Connecting young Queenslanders with the opportunities that exist in our industry is something we all have a role to play in.
